Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Eat Flaming Death Studios collects when you use poopborne.com and the Splat Game photo tool, how we use it, and your rights over your data.
1. What We Collect
We collect as little as possible. Here is everything:
| Data | When | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Newsletter signup only | Until you unsubscribe |
| IP address (server logs) | Every page request | Cloudflare default (short-term, minimal) |
| Uploaded photos | Splat Game use | Never stored — client-side only |
2. Photos Never Leave Your Device
Photos you upload to the Splat Game are processed entirely in your browser using the HTML Canvas API. They are never transmitted to our servers, never stored, and never seen by us or any third party. When you close or leave the page, all image data is discarded. We have zero access to anything you upload.
3. Newsletter Email
If you sign up for our newsletter, your email address is passed to our email service provider (e.g. Mailchimp or similar) and used only to send you Poopborne development updates. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with anyone else.
Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes your address from our list immediately. You can also email legal@eatflamingdeathstudios.com to request deletion at any time.
4. Cookies and Tracking
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics on this site. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) may set minimal performance-related cookies as part of its CDN infrastructure; these do not identify you personally. We do not run any third-party ad networks or tracking pixels.
5. Third-Party Services
- Cloudflare Pages — hosts the site. Cloudflare processes IP addresses and request metadata as part of normal CDN operation. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Newsletter provider — stores your email if you subscribe. We will name the provider here once one is selected, along with a link to their privacy policy.
6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights over your personal data. Where we hold data about you (your email, if subscribed), you may:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Erasure — request that we delete your data.
- Portability — request your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent — unsubscribe at any time; your email is deleted promptly.
- Object — object to any processing we carry out.
To exercise any of these rights, email legal@eatflamingdeathstudios.com. We will respond within 30 days. We do not sell personal data.
7. Data Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Newsletter emails are stored with our email provider, which maintains its own security standards. Because we collect so little data and photos never leave your device, your exposure is minimal.
8. Children
This site is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with their email address, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
10. Contact
Questions or requests about this Privacy Policy can be sent to legal@eatflamingdeathstudios.com.
